East Coast Warehouse & Distribution Receives Supply & Demand Chain Executive Green Supply Chain Award

ELIZABETH, NJNovember 9, 2015 – East Coast Warehouse & Distribution, a leading temperature-controlled logistics provider located on the Port of New York/New Jersey, today announced it is a recipient of the 2015 Green Supply Chain Award from Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine. 

East Coast Warehouse was awarded this honor for its robust sustainability program, which includes the operation of a solar powered warehouse that produces more than 800,000 kWHr of clean renewable energy each year; state-of-the-art motion sensing technology that provides the most advanced and energy-saving controls across its facilities; and a comprehensive recycling program that allows it to save nearly two million pounds of cardboard and 250,000 pounds of plastic stretch wrap each year.
