Excited to expand its CES services, East Coast Warehouse now accepts exam containers from customs brokers at its new Baytown facility, as well as drayage for exam containers from the terminal through Safeway Trucking
HOUSTON, TX (October 2026) – East Coast Warehouse & Distribution announced this month that its Houston Centralized Examination Station (CES) is open and ready to accept exam containers from customs brokers.
The Houston CES, located in Baytown, Texas, expands East Coast Warehouse’s CES services to the Houston shipping community. The company thanked U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and all those who helped bring the facility to this point.
“We are grateful to CBP and everyone who helped get us to this point, and we look forward to working with the Houston shipping community,” said Steve Banasiak, Vice President of Business Development – CES.
Terminal pickup and delivery
East Coast Warehouse’s transportation division, Safeway Trucking, can pick up exam containers from the terminal and deliver them to the CES, giving brokers a single point of contact for the move.
How to select East Coast CES in ACE
Customs brokers can designate East Coast CES in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) using FIRMS code S1W0 (the last character is a zero).
